This Private Picklesimer Rock House Hike is a 2 hour adventure! We start in Highlands, NC with an open air tour to Blue Valley on the way vehicles see some of the largest and oldest trees in the Nantahala National Forest.

Then, we take scenic dirt roads to USFS Blue Valley Experimental Forest for a relaxed two mile round trip hike to see Picklesimer Rock house, a Civil War soldier’s hideout.

Stop along the way and brew coffee or hot chocolate over a wood fire. Our open-air adventure vehicles will whisk you through the temperate rainforest back to Highlands, NC.
